Foggy Bottom Boutique & Breeziway Collaborative Show coming soon!

Plans are underway for a trunk and fashion show to feature a comprehensive line of Breeziway pieces specifically designed for the extensive designer prom and bridal collections at the Foggy Bottom Ladies Boutique. The 'Red collection' for this show was featured in entries earlier this week. We are now poised to create an array of colorful designs to debut in Wichita very soon. If you are a mid-West gal, please, let us know if you are interested in attending the show. We will make sure you are made aware of the final details.

Lace Fingerless Gloves. . . . New Breeziway Designs. . .

I was inspired by these lovely fingerless gloves to share two of our newer bridal headpiece/hat designs. The satin and lace gloves are available in either white or ivory at the US Brides Wedding site. They are a beautiful option for the bride who likes the look and feel of luxurious gloves.

The two bridal hats below were designed for brides who would like a bridal piece that incorporates the lace motifs used in their gowns. These are versatile headpieces that can be worn effectively using a variety of placements/orientations. The use of a bridal lace motif in the gloves make them an excellent addition to the accessories of a bride who likes our new designs below.

The first Breeziway design is made of an oval buckram hat frame (5.5" front-to-back, 5" side-to-side, 2" dome) covered in white silk and finished with layers of tulle ruffles, schlappen feathers and lace embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls.











The second design is smaller; based on a round, cupula buckram frame (approx. 4.5" diameter, 1" dome). It is covered in ivory silk and embellished with tulle ruffles, schlappen feathers, and Swarovski crystal and pearls accented lace.

Diem's Wedding. . .

It is ALWAYS a thrill when a Breeziway client takes time out of a busy schedule to share photos of their special event. Diem of San Diego, CA was married last weekend and has generously shared the following photos of her wedding day. What a stunning bride and happy couple!

Diem wore a 9 inch symmetrical birdcage veil that was edged with alternating Swarovski pearls and clear crystals to complement the beading of her gown's bodice and hemline. A featherpiece was made of satinette, hackle and marabou feathers accented with a cluster of round Swarovski crystals. The feedback photos of Diem's headpiece are below.

Lynne's Wedding. . .

Breeziway has had the pleasure of working with a number of Canadian brides this past year. One of these pretty ladies, Lynne, wanted a unique feather piece. So, we created a design using stripped flats from a rare breed of poultry, natural ostrich, burnt ostrich tips, and hackle feathers. She paired this piece with one of our birdcage veils.

I love the way Lynne positioned her feather piece to the side of her bun, with the 12" French silk birdcage veil placed separately as a blusher over her face.

Lynne, your floral bouquet was such a stunning complement to your elegant gown. Please, do share what elements were used in your bouquet.

Beautiful Italian Ladies: Annalisa & Fiona. . .

The Shan, a beautiful spray of feathers in coral, has been a popular design with Breeziway clients, including some customizations. An aquamarine version of Shan shown here was paired with a white birdcage veil and worn by a Hawaiian bride this past summer.

A customized version of Shan in champagne was worn, perched aside the bun of a happy dear friend-of-the-bride, Fiona, this August. The bride, Annalisa, wore a custom design of coquile flower with ostrich and Swarovski crystal accents. The major challenge with this piece was the delicate process of matching the light dusty rose silk used as an accent color in her gown, but we succeeded eventually! Annalisa wore her Breeziway design atop a side-swept pony tail; so pretty. Fiona's piece is shown below during its creation and in its final place of honor. Enjoy the beautiful photographs of this lovely wedding in the ancient, northern Italian seaport city of Genova. . . and the radiant smiles!

The happy couple's relationship blossomed while they studied English in college. Fiona is Director of the North American branch of the Italian luxurious linen company, Dea, which is located in Palm Beach, Florida. Annalisa is located with the company's base in Italy and is one of the creative minds behind their stunning designs featuring luxurious Egyptian cotton, linen, lace, jacquard, and embroidery.
