Family Weddings. . . Eve

May 8, 2010

I absolutely love playing a role in our clients' preparations for their weddings, but nothing tops the joy of helping a family bride! We have two family weddings this year, so there is plenty of excitement. My oldest stepdaughter, Eve, is marrying her sweetie (Breeziway's webmaster!) in England mid-August, and my first-born, Kirstin, is marrying her love in Chicago early October. I will be sharing their Breeziway designs as they roll out of the studio. This is the first. . .

Eve will be wearing the Devereaux in 'honey' by British Designer, Ian Stuart. Her 3 bridal attendants will be wearing strapless satin dresses in brown, while our littlest darlings (flower girls) will be wearing cream. More on Eve's headpiece and bouquet soon. . . Today I am eager to get her feedback on the silk flower and feather bouquets made for her attendants and the headpieces for all 5 of her helpers!

First, is the silk rose (multi-shade brown, honey & cream) bouquet, softened with cream hackle feathers used in the headpieces. . .

Next, the attendants headpiece mounts with the bouquet to show the blending of shades. . .

One of Eve's friends is a brunette, so her headpiece is a blend of the lighter shades in the palette. . . .

Eve's other dear friend is a blonde; her headpiece is a blend of the darker shades in the palette. . . .

Eve's junior bridesmaid (daughter/granddaughter) has a slightly smaller design that uses a unique blend of the lighter shades in the palette. . .

Last, but not least, are the small hackle flowers in ivory and cream for Eve's little flower girls (daughter/granddaughter). . .

Time to wrap this up so I can send off to Eve for feedback. . . Hope she likes them!

A happy season of love for sure. . . Hope you are enjoying your moments, too,
